Her job at Drs. Bush, Tandy, Korus and Whidden consists of varied duties including financial consultation, insurance submission, report generation, reactivation of patients, and scheduling, to name a few. She feels that it is very important that our patients' accounts and insurance are kept current. Her communication, organization, and listening skills are such a valuable asset to keep our office running as smoothly as possible.

Spending time with family and friends is a priority. Her passion for horses has led her to a life-long career of showing. She enjoys traveling with her quarter horses throughout the east coast, earning her many titles and awards. Skiing has also been a wonderful part of her life, especially in Killington, VT and out west. She also enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, kayaking, the beach, entertaining, cooking, and gardening. Hygiene Staff

Diane received her dental hygiene and associates degree from Northeastern University and her bachelors degree from the University of Connecticut. After working for several years in dental practices that were dissatisfying for her, she joined Drs. Bush, Tandy, Korus and Whidden. She saw first-hand how we treated our patients and has since been with the practice for over twenty years. She feels lucky to work with every member of our team, made up of kind, caring and enthusiastic individuals who share knowledge and teach each other.

She loves helping patients achieve better oral health and educating them on the latest techniques, treatments, and products. It is important to her that her patients understand how their medical conditions and medications affect their oral health and well-being. She feels that the most interesting thing about teeth is the people attached to them. One of the best parts of her job is building long-term, caring relationships with our patients.

Diane grew up in Windsor, Connecticut and Stuart, Florida. She has one terrific husband and two amazing, amusing sons. In her spare time, she loves reading, as well as sports, music, biking, kayaking, and baking. She is also our office team captain for the South Windsor Relay for Life. Her favorite place to be is at the beach and she hopes to do a lot more traveling in the years ahead.

Karen received her dental hygiene degree from the University Of Vermont and has practiced in New Haven and Hartford, CT, as well as Manhatten, KS. She joined the team of Drs. Bush, Tandy, Korus and Whidden twenty-four years ago.

She is a past member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and a participant and supporter of Special Olympics, Connecicuts' Mission of Mercy, and Smile Train. Karen enjoys helping patients care for their mouths and being proud of their smiles. Some of her duties as a hygienist, in addition to cleanings and X-rays, are providing the patients with the tools to help them achieve optimal health. Her comprehensive approach includes oral cancer screenings, nutritional counseling, medication and systems review, as well as detailed care for our orthodontic and implant patients.

Karen was born and raised in South Windsor, Connecticut where she still lives with her husband Bill, a music teacher. She has two grown children who still live and work in the area. Outside the office she enjoys reading, shopping, aerobic classes, theatre, and country music. Her favorite day would be a day at the beach, soaking in the sun.

She looks forward to meeting our new patients and hearing their stories. She invites you to come in to her operatory to try and guess what her favorite animal is!
